Cried out Zainab oh my Master

Aun, Mohammed, Ali Akber

Oh those of you who are mothers

Or the sisters of loved brothers

Come beat your chests and grieve

For whom shall I bereave?

Clothed in the holy sand and all

Khaake shifaa's my overall

Oh Prophet mercy to mankind

See how your ummah's been unkind

Will Rubaab ever find

Her innocent young child

I hear the people saying in Shaam

Revenge is all we will demand

We will avenge Ali's command

His wives and daughters we'll surround

Rainfall of stones befell

No fear shown of hell

Amidst strangers unknown men folk

Unveiled we were all made to walk

“Where is Abbas?” called out Zainab

“Come and protect our mothers garb”

No torture ever hurt

Unveiling was the worst

These Muslims took the Prophet’s name

For true Islam they're but a shame

This world's glory was all they sought

A battle with Husayn they fought

Zahra's Husayn they killed

With tears my eyes are filled

Hur heard the cries of al-atash

He felt that he now he had to rush

He had to make a choice and tell

Choices between heaven and hell

Zahra's hankerchief he got

Heaven he also bought
